Ugenie

I worked in Ugenie for 1.5 years having joined in January 2008. I got promoted to Senior Software Engineer in February 2009. Read more about my work in weRead/Lulu here.

IBM

Prior to Ugenie I worked in IBM for a period of about 2.5 years (July 2005 to January 2008). I was part of the WebSphere Technology Institute where I worked on providing Bayeux support in Geronimo.

Prior to that I worked in the development team of WebSphere RFID Information Center for one and a half years.

I was involved in quite a lot of other activities in IBM, including University Relations.

Engineering

I did my Engineering in Computer Science in Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore. I have been very active in various technical activities during Engineering. I was the chairman and previously joint secretary of the Computer Society of India, SJCE Student chapter. I have given talks in colleges on different topics. I have been part of event management and learnt the pains and tasted the success of managing such events.

Others

I have delivered several talks both in enterprise events and in colleges mostly around emerging technologies. I like to deliver short lectures on topics related to Web 2.0. If interested contact me at my email id.

I am the co-inventor of one patent and two of my papers were given publish rating by IBM. One of them is on User annotations to facilitate collaborative web crawling and indexing.

I was involved in various academic activities including student internship programs when in IBM.

I have been quite strong academically. I stood 2nd in my district during Pre-University examinations and first in my college. I was also selected for the ‘Catch Them Young’ program by Infosys when in 10th standard.
